friday pushed through the pain

saturday flopped around

a video game

the front over the pacific

hit the coastline hard

wake up your life!

hissed the surf

of salt whip cream

sleepy sundays broke up

the years

again

we put ourselves out there

for whatever it was worth

stop torturing us

Don’t let anyone ever tell you
torture helps

Let them hang themselves by their toes for several hours and see how that’s working for them. let them immerse themselves in exceedingly high decibel environments then isolate themselves in sensory deprivation. see if they come out of that advocating how torture works. do not let anyone convince you that hurting someone make us safer. incapacitating someone ensures our freedoms. bombing some city to hell is the hallmark of an awakened cultural consciousness?

Come on, now
stop torturing us

surround. sound

Inside the body, you will find coursing and pulsing of blood. A muscle, pumping iron.

Inside the mind, you will find the plus and the minus and the neutral of thought. Layers upon layers of judgment surround sound.

Inside the affect, you will find emotional roller derby. Fear pushing euphoria over the rail. Anger throttling fear with a fist. Then the sadness and joy all that’s left.

Inside the spirit, there is hope, there is courage. Compassion and passion and love. Perhaps waylaid by some local, situational lesson in pain.

There lies endless life, in the soul. Free energy in circulation. Awakening and opening the eyes in god’s time, not ours.
