all fall we all

october she

makes us feel!

makes us dress

like the earth is queen!

of our fashion

scene

october she

awakens us

to find our comforts

we keep…

all the colors

get worn

under blankets

we sleep

all fall

we all

internalize

it all

see us faded?

taking it all?

taking

the Fall

in?

and the apples!

gathering them

in our arms

for cider…

we circled

the base of the tree

soon the kids they

circled

their stomachs…

they learn to clutch

under the willow

where they weep

stomach-clutching kids

apple cores

colored leaves…

all gathered

in arms

boyfriends

girlfriends

mothers fathers

aunts uncles cousins

soon fall

we all

toward sleep….

kinda dark

kinda cold

kinda lonesome

the harvest moon

hedges

cool draughts and worries

the heat of our breathe

now seen

hedges

the gentle waves

dissolving in cool moist

morning air…

thick with flavors

of colors

of fall

remember last night

the truth?

the dare?

foolin’ around…

or trying to get there?

with someone

you love…

or want so bad

you think you love!

you woke up with them

or without them…

either way

all happens so fast

in october

They’re there…

then not there

anymore

where did they go?

where were we

during it all?

christ!

to not remember

we must forget

and move on

into masks

and Halloween preludes

the winter

the dying

what was so fast!

almost flying!

knaws on us

begins to splinter…

someone must

feel the pain

of its absence

so deep

we wish we never

touched that

sometimes

we wish against

the truth of our own

long gone yearnings

hard fought dreams

come alive…

the touch

the intimation

a ripple cross the pond

and right through us

damn!

chills

all down the spine

every Fall we all

follow these

waves

out to the shore

all fall

we all

expand with expansiveness

of mind and rest…

the life of it!

just if you look

around

all fall…

we all

got a snail paced

epileptic

we got after after after

shocks!

we got all the ideas

but no one

to dare…

no one

singular truth

you left us…

you leave us

sometimes

in the dark

stone cold!

flat footed!

in fall

the earth feels cool alright

under foot

fall

i know you know now

i know that

only

we all

know

what way to go

we

all fall
